Pediatric ER Opens at Lutheran Children’s Hospital

FORT WAYNE, Ind. — Administrators, employees, physicians and board members from Lutheran Hospital and Lutheran Children’s Hospital joined community leaders and youngsters to celebrate the newly completed LCH emergency department. The group gathered to reveal creative, kid-friendly lobby elements during a ceremony that included the cutting of a paper chain made by children. Benjamin Russell Hospital for Children is First Healthcare Facility in Alabama to Earn LEED Gold

Children’s of Alabama’s Benjamin Russell Hospital for Children expansion is the first healthcare facility in Alabama, and one of the first of its kind in the U.S., to gain LEED-Gold status as a result of its design and use of sustainable, energy-efficient and environmentally responsible materials. KLMK Group served as project manager, Hoar Construction in partnership with BE&K served as construction managers and HKS, Inc., in partnership with Giattina Aycock Studio, served as architects.
