ABC Releases February Construction Spending Data

National nonresidential construction spending declined 1 % in February, according to an Associated Builders and Contractors analysis of data published by the U.S. Census Bureau. On a seasonally adjusted annualized basis, nonresidential spending totaled $1.179 trillion.

Spending was down in a monthly basis in 15 of the 16 nonresidential subcategories. Private nonresidential spending fell 0.9%, while public nonresidential construction spending was down 1.2% in February. Read More …

Grand Opening Ceremony for San Antonio State Hospital Set for April 9

Officials from the Texas Health and Human Services Commission will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony April 9 to celebrate the grand opening of the new 300-bed San Antonio State Hospital. The inpatient psychiatric hospital replaces the original facility, which first opened in 1892. LeChase Construction Services has begun the renovation and expansion of Open Door Family Medical Center facilities in two downtown Ossining, New York buildings. The buildings, at 2 Church St. and 165 Main St., sit across the street from each other, but are from vastly different eras.
