The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio, Texas is expanding its services into Northwest San Antonio with the planned opening of a multispecialty clinic for children in the Shops at La Cantera.
Construction on the new clinic began in late summer and will include several pediatric subspecialties with a primary focus on orthopedics and sports medicine. The 6,500-square-foot facility will include 12 exam rooms, imaging services and outpatient physical therapy and rehabilitation all under one roof.
The project’s general contractor is D Barnes Construction; the architect is Alamo Architects.
Pediatric physicians in subspecialty areas such as cardiology, critical care, neurology (including epileptology), hematology/oncology, rheumatology, genetics and pulmonology are now established in San Antonio. The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio has two pediatric subspecialty centers open, one in New Braunfels and another in Westover Hills. The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio Physician Group has four locations throughout San Antonio to provide greater access for regular checkups and preventive healthcare.
The new multispecialty clinic will host a grand opening and welcome patients in January 2016.
