BOMA Releases Newest Floor Measurement Standard for Office Buildings

The Building Owners and Managers Association International has released its latest floor measurement standard for office buildings, BOMA 2024 for Office Buildings – ANSI/BOMA Z65.1-2024. The standard includes many new features, enhancements and clarifications since the release of the 2017 edition.

It is intended for office buildings, including but not limited to, commercial, medical, institutional and life sciences. It can be used for single tenant, multi-tenant, or multi-building configurations, and is suitable for measuring new, existing and proposed office buildings.

For more than a century, BOMA has set the standard for measuring buildings, publishing its first measurement standard for office buildings in 1915. The BOMA Office provides area figures useful for space utilization analysis, valuation, benchmarking and allocating building expenses across different cost centers. For more info, visit boma.org.
