New Cyberknife System Space Unveiled at North Fulton Cancer Center in Georgia
Following a ribbon-cutting ceremony on March 27, Wellstar North Fulton Hospital’s team members and the Roswell, Georgia community toured North Fulton Cancer Center’s new Cyberknife system space, designed by TRO Jung|Brannen and built by Turner Construction.
The $12-million investment and 10-months of construction culminated in a Cyberknife vault, two exam suites and a stat lab.
Structural design to support the weight of the equipment and to add protection shielding for the patients and staff was precisely detailed. The space also was designed to include ample room for the Cyberknife to rotate and move for the most targeted treatment of the patient’s tumor possible. Lighting and storage were also important.
