Lend Lease Completes Wyoming County Community Hospital Additions, Renovations

Lend Lease has completed the $31-million Wyoming County Community Hospital additions and renovations project. Lend Lease was the construction manager, while Clark Patterson Lee served as architect for the facility, which is located in Warsaw, N.Y.

The WCCH project scope included a roof replacement of the entire existing facility, additions to the hospital and interior renovations including a new emergency department, registration center, a new physicians’ suite, ambulatory surgery and endoscopy suites, chapel, main entrance and a new department of corrections suite. Asbestos abatement of all renovated areas, including the main corridors, was completed in a phased sequence while working closely with the hospital to allow patient and operation flow through the hospital.

Additional renovations included the main corridors, exterior and interior signage including a complete renumbering of all rooms in the hospital and skilled nursing facility, new furniture and equipment for all new spaces and upgrades to information technology, fire alarm, sprinkler system and nurse call systems. Lastly, renovations also included a complete replacement of the hospital’s main medical vacuum skid and medical air skid, including replacement of all the medical master alarm panels throughout the hospital and a new access control security system.
