Boca Raton Regional Hospital in Florida, part of Baptist Health, recently celebrated the grand opening of the Toby and Leon Cooperman Medical Arts Pavilion. The pavilion provides a convenient location for outpatient procedures such as same-day surgical care, diagnostic and preventive procedures. A freestanding facility, the pavilion is home to the Baptist Health Orthopedics Institute and houses medical specialty clinics and physician offices, along with an ambulatory surgery center featuring operating rooms and endoscopy suites. Unused Hospital Space Repurposed for Addiction Alliance of Georgia
Spanning more than 9,000 square feet, the new Addiction Alliance of Georgia is located in Emory University Hospital at Wesley Woods. As the existing building lacked extensive access to natural light, a critical need for the new program, NELSON was challenged to evaluate the existing building envelope and be creative about providing access to sunlight. Increasing the size of the building’s existing windows, adding additional windows, implementing strategies for borrowed light, and creating vistas to the exterior did just that.
