Alabama Firms Celebrate Topping Out of Great Falls Clinic Project
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Capital Growth Medvest, project developer; Goodwyn, Mills and Cawood, Inc., project architect and Brasfield & Gorrie, general contractor, commemorated the topping out of the new Great Falls Clinic Medical Center with the placement of a pine tree at the top of the building. Construction has reached the pinnacle of the structure.
Brasfield & Gorrie broke ground on the Great Falls Clinic Medical Center in August 2014. Adjacent to the existing Great Falls Clinic Specialty Center, the 65,000-square-foot project will include a 19-bed hospital, operating rooms, procedure rooms and an emergency department.
The facility will be owned equally by Great Falls Clinic, a multi-specialty medical practice with primary, related secondary and urgent care service offerings, and Surgery Partners, a company that partners with hospitals and health systems to develop and operate short-stay surgical facilities.
Local partners Dick Anderson Construction and L’Heureux Page Werner are working with Brasfield & Gorrie and GMC to build the new hospital. Construction is scheduled to be complete in fall of 2015.
