RJM Construction Begins Work at University of Minnesota Children’s Hospital
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. — RJM Construction recently began construction at the University of Minnesota Children’s Hospital, located at 2450 Riverside Ave. in Minneapolis, Minnesota. RJM Construction will expand the hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and add a new auditorium and conference center.
The previously unoccupied 11th floor will become additional space for the NICU. The 15,000-square-foot floor will include 13 bassinets and new mechanical systems, including a new air handling unit. RJM Construction will complete the work in March 2015.
RJM Construction also will construct a new auditorium and conference center, located on the main floor of the hospital’s south wing. At 9,000 square feet, the space will include a 200-seat auditorium, boardroom and conference rooms. Construction will be complete in January 2015.
Project partners include Fairview Health Services along with architect and engineer HGA.
