    Skanska Contracts Hospital Expansion in Gainesville, Florida

    Skanska has signed a contract to build an expansion of the UF Shands Cardiovascular/Neuroscience Hospital in Gainesville, Fla. The contract value, $225 million, will be included in order bookings for Skanska USA Building for the first quarter of 2014.

    Skanska_0408The 521,000-square-foot conversion will be constructed adjacent to the UF Health / Shands Cancer Hospital, which was completed by Skanska USA in 2009.

    Construction will begin in fall/winter 2014, and is expected to be completed in the fall of 2017.
