    New Milford Hospital Opens Center for Wound Care

    NEW MILFORD, Conn. — Western Connecticut Health Network announces the opening of The Center for Wound Care at New Milford Hospital, New Milford, Conn. The Wound Care Center complements and augments the services currently provided at The Robert J. and Pamela Morganti Center for Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine, located at Danbury Hospital, Danbury, Conn.

    “We are thrilled to be able to expand this important service to residents in the Greater New Milford area,” said David Charash, DO, medical director at the Danbury Hospital Robert J. and Pamela Morganti Center for Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine and The Center for Wound Care at New Milford Hospital. “The newly opened location at New Milford Hospital allows us to provide the most advanced wound care treatments and therapies, and increases accessibility to these much needed services for the network’s patients in the northwestern reaches of Connecticut and bordering areas of New York.”

    The Center for Wound Care at New Milford Hospital provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment for outpatients with chronic and complicated skin wounds, including:

    • Diabetic foot ulcers
    • Venous stasis ulcers
    • Arterial ulcers
    • Burns
    • Pressure ulcers Surgical wounds

    State-of-the-art therapies that will be offered at The Center for Wound Care at New Milford Hospital and provided by a most dedicated and trained team of experts, include:

    • Compression
    • Biosynthetic skin grafting
    • Debridement
    • Advanced dressing technique
