CHICAGO, Ill. — Focal Point recently announced its project team: development partner Jones Lang LaSalle, architects HDR Architecture and market research consultants August Partners.
The Focal Point community campus will serve more than 400,000 residents on the west and southwest sides of Chicago, Ill. With plans for a nearly 1-million-square-foot complex that offers retail, wellness, education, arts and recreation services customized to the needs of the community, the new campus will focus on the complete well-being of community members, instead of purely on one element — healthcare. The new campus will be housed on an approximately 11-acre plot of land.
Chicago Southwest Development Corporation – along with leaders from Saint Anthony Hospital – is leading the project.
In addition, the visionary research-based design for Focal Point was developed by HDR Architecture and has received a 2013 National Design Award in the Master Planning Urban Design for Healthcare Settings category from the American Institute of Architects Academy of Architecture for Health.
