A recent groundbreaking signaled the start of construction on the 77,200-square-foot Watson Clinic Medical Office Building for Anchor Health Properties in Lakeland, Florida. Hoar is serving as the general contractor for the project, which is expected to be completed by second quarter 2026 and will include offices and imaging labs.
The four-story, tilt-wall project is going vertical, with a topping out expected later this summer. Three of the floors will be built out, totaling 55,702 square feet of offices, exam rooms and imaging suites. The building’s imaging department will be complete with MRI, CT, X-ray and ultrasound machines. The other two floors will house doctors’ offices.
Located on Orlando Heath’s new Lakeland Highlands Hospital campus, Anchor Health Properties is developing the new medical office building for Watson Clinic, one of Central Florida’s largest healthcare providers. The medical office building is being constructed alongside the adjacent hospital for Orlando Health and a free-standing Watson Clinic surgery center, requiring close communication and coordination between the Hoar team and the additional developers and subcontractors.
Additional project partners include HuntonBrady Architects as the architect, Walter P Moore & Associates as the structural engineer, Vanasse Hangen Brustlin, Inc. as the civil engineer and I.C. Thomasson Associates as the MEP engineer.
