HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital, located in Port Charlotte, Florida, has completed phase one of its $60 million expansion and renovation project that increases the hospital’s capacity and broadens its offerings. Opened the public on May 13, the project included expanding critical care units by 12 rooms, increasing the number of pre-operative treatment areas to 43 bays, renovation of the main lobby, waiting rooms and registration areas and the addition of a chapel and coffee shop.
The entire project includes 40,000 square feet of new space and 20,000 of renovated space. Phase two will include expansion to the hospital’s operating room capacity from 10 to 12 suites and is scheduled to be complete by the end of 2024.
Robins & Morton served as the general contractor for the project. Barge Design Solutions was the architect.
