Ribbon-cutting Marks Completion of Novant Health Ballantyne Medical Center
A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held May 30 to celebrate the completed Novant Health Ballantyne Medical Center, located in Charlotte, North Carolina. It is scheduled to officially open June 12. The $154-million, 36-bed community hospital is positioned to provide healthcare services to the rapidly growing suburban population in and around southern Mecklenburg County. The new 168,181-square-foot medical center will provide patients with convenient and neighborhood-like access to emergency and inpatient services, diagnostic and surgical care, maternity care, as well as a variety of onsite specialty care services, including women’s health, orthopedics and cancer.
An adjoining 57,509-square-foot medical office building will be located onsite and provide patients with convenient access to outpatient imaging and specialty care services. The hospital and medical office building are located on a 38-acre site, previously home to the Hall Family Farm. Novant Health Ballantyne Medical Center paid tribute to the historic site by installing scenic walking trails throughout the property.
The project team includes HDR and Robins & Morton.
