An expansion and renovation project at Penn Medicine Chester County Hospital, located in West Chester, Pennsylvania, has been awarded a LEED Silver rating from the U.S. Green Building Council. LEED Silver certification distinguishes a building as a leader in environmentally conscious design in a sector with high-energy demands.
The largest expansion in the hospital’s history, the project added 250,000 square feet of new space and 25,000 square feet of existing emergency department space was renovated.
Key features of the project include:

- Three high-tech labs for catheterization & electrophysiology/hybrid
- Patient tower with 99 inpatient beds
- 13 additional emergency department rooms
