Cincinnati Children’s Cuts Ribbon on Critical Care Building
Patients and families, hospital staff and administrators, local officials and community members recently gathered online and in person at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center in Ohio to cut the ribbon on its new Critical Care Building.
The largest private development in the history of Cincinnati, the 330,000-square-foot Critical Care Building will enable Cincinnati Children’s to provide more comprehensive care for some of the world’s most vulnerable patients.
Housing a larger emergency department with embedded imaging services, neonatal intensive care unit, pediatric intensive care unit cardiac intensive care unit, the hospital’s bone marrow transplant program and support services in one place, the new Critical Care Building expands Cincinnati Children’s capacity for care, while streamlining many of its services. At the same time, the Critical Care Building also provides a healing environment for patients and their families.
GBBN partnered with ZGF Architects on this project, along with Walsh Consulting Group.
