Einstein Medical Center Montgomery Set to Expand
The expansion will consist of the conversion of the west wing of the medical center’s fourth floor, which is being used as administrative office and conference space. The converted space will become 24 additional patient rooms, bringing the medical center’s total number of licensed beds to 170, all of which are private.
“The early success of Einstein Medical Center Montgomery has created the need for additional patient care areas,” said Beth Duffy, Chief Operating Officer, Einstein Medical Center Montgomery. “The administrative space at Einstein Montgomery was specifically designed for a fast conversion to patient rooms, with the thought that we would eventually need to expand. We’re prepared to do that without disrupting the care being delivered to our patients.”
The administrative staff is being relocated, with more than half remaining in various locations within the hospital. A modular building located immediately to the north of the Minerva D. Braemer Medical Arts Building is being installed to provide office space for the remaining staff being moved from the fourth floor.
The construction project is expected to take approximately nine months to complete and will result in an additional two dozen medical/surgical beds for multispecialty use.
