To access the new entrance, patients and visitors enter the hospital campus from Broad Street near the former Tandet Center and Jean S. Rich Professional Office Building. The new entrance will not be accessible from Shelburne Road. An enclosed connector is being built between the Whittingham Pavilion and Bennett Cancer Center to make the transition as seamless as possible for the cancer center’s patients. The new entrance for both facilities will remain in place until hospital construction concludes in 2016.
Patients and visitors will still be able to access entry to either facility from the main hospital as this will not be impacted. Valet parking will be available for patients and visitors at the new Bennett Cancer Center/Whittingham Pavilion entrance and use of this free service is encouraged. There will be additional external signage to help patients and visitors navigate the campus.
