    Matthei & Colin Associates Designing Hybrid Operating Rooms at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center

    CHICAGO, Ill. –Matthei & Colin Associatesis designing two hybrid operating roomsat Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center located in Chicago, Ill. Consisting of two 800-square-foot ORs, this is one of the first steps toward implementing the operating room integration system.


    One hybrid OR is dedicated to the CT-guided neurosurgery and the other is a single plane vascular room. William W. Heun, AIA, partner at Matthei & Colin Associates, has been working closely working with Advocate Health Care for over 21 years.

    Advocate Health Care is recognized as one of the nation’s top 10 health systems and the largest integrated healthcare system in Illinois. Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center has a medical staff consists of more than 1,000 physicians in a wide array of specialties. In a typical year, they care for more than 20,000 inpatients, 149,000 outpatients and 35,000 emergency patients, and handle 142,000 patient visits to primary care and specialty centers. Located in the Lakeview neighborhood on the north side of Chicago, Illinois Masonic Medical also is home to one of the Chicago area’s leading Level I trauma centers.
