Expansion Begins on Center for Heart and Vascular Care

Construction has begun on the expansion of Doylestown Health’s Richard A. Reif Heart Institute. Designed by Heery International, the 102,637-square-foot Center for Heart and Vascular Care, located in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, will add a new ground floor entrance and central atrium along with a three-story bed wing with 63-private rooms and an outpatient cardiac clinic.

The project will renovate the facility’s cardiac catheterization labs and add a new endovascular hybrid operating room for vascular services. Heery’s design team is also upgrading the hospital’s surgical suite including its pre- and post-operative areas. This marks the beginning of Doylestown’s long-range community-focused master plan developed by Heery with the hospital.

The need for a significant addition and renovation was identified as a priority to accommodate the cardiac program. The new wing will provide the space needed for its innovative programs and services to thrive and grow. The project is expected to be completed in 2019.
