Construction of RI Landmark Cancer Center is Complete
N. QUINCY, Mass., and N. SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Construction of the Landmark Cancer Center, located on the campus of the Rehabilitation Hospital of Rhode Island in North Smithfield, Rhode Island, has recently been completed.
The center, designed by JACA Architects, and built by Ken Jones Construction, is 14,000 square feet and is comprised of nine patient treatment areas, along with two private treatment areas and examination rooms, physician offices, laboratory and pharmacy.
Patient comfort was key to the design of the center. Several patient conveniences, such as individual lighting controls, Wi-Fi and video control and family support accommodations, were incorporated into the plans. Natural light is also an important element of the design and is abundant throughout the space.
The center is expected to open within the next month.
