DURANT, Okla. – Robins & Morton recently celebrated the topping out of the new Choctaw Nation Regional Medical Clinic in Durant, Oklahoma. The clinic designer is James R. Childers Architect, Inc.
The Choctaw Nation Durant Regional Medical Clinic is a 20-acre campus-style development which includes three buildings totaling 174,000 square feet. The three buildings include the clinic, health administration and facilities maintenance.
The clinic functions include primary care (including special supplemental nutrition program for women, infants and children, pediatrics, geriatrics, podiatry and specialty care), employee health, rehabilitation services, outpatient surgery, dental care, audiology, eye care, pharmacy services, lab and radiology services, behavioral health, education and meeting facilities and a wellness center.
Administration functions include WIC, public relations, public health nutrition, healthy aging, rapid results, education and meeting facilities and Choctaw Nation Health Services Authority administration offices. The project’s estimated completion date is slated for January 2017.
“This is such a historical day for our tribal members and for all of those in Southeastern Oklahoma,” Chief Gary Batton said. “It takes the whole team to make projects like this happen.”
