CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Gresham, Smith and Partners recently opened its Charlotte, North Carolina office at 525 North Tryon Street. The new office coincides with GS&P’s selection by Novant Health to design the future Mint Hill Medical Center, which will include a new 36-bed community hospital and medical office building near the border of Charlotte and Mint Hill, North Carolina. Construction recently began on the infrastructure and preliminary site work.
The new hospital building will house 36 licensed beds, 10 observation beds, four operating rooms, a procedure room, a 16-bay emergency department, mobile imaging services, a pharmacy, a laboratory and an MRI unit. The campus will also include an 80,000-square-foot medical office building adjoining the hospital.
GS&P has previously designed healthcare facilities, corporate headquarters and other projects in and around Charlotte for a variety of clients, including Carolinas Healthcare Systems, Groninger and Deloitte. The firm has also designed other facilities for Novant Health across North Carolina and Virginia, including Novant Health Haymarket Medical Center, Novant Health Cancer Center at Lake Manassas and Novant Health Prince William Medical Center.
