Sonora Regional Medical Center has selected Quiring General LLC, in alliance with California Gold Development Corporation, to construct the new outpatient pavilion and Cancer Center in California.
Jones, Lang LaSalle, a provider of real estate services for Adventist Health, the parent company of Sonora Regional Medical Center, released the RPF in April. Five companies bid on the project and three were interviewed.
Quiring has healthcare construction experience, including OSHPD 1 and 3 construction, radiation oncology vaults and infusion therapy, and Cyperknife radio surgery. Quering’s cancer experience started with Fresno Community Hospitals’ first outpatient cancer center built 22 years ago and has continued from that time to include projects like Cancer Care Associates, Sierra Pacific Orthopedic Center and the Deran Koligian Ambulatory Care Center, all in Fresno.
In compliance with state environment laws, site work and subsequent construction will begin at the site of the former Andy’s True Value Hardware store at the corner of Greenley Road and Mono Way in the near future.
A community groundbreaking will take place later this summer and construction is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2016.
