Ribbon Cutting Marks Completion of Sky Ridge Medical Center’s $117M Expansion
LONE TREE, Colo. – JE Dunn Construction recently completed Sky Ridge Medical Center’s $117-million expansion at 10101 RidgeGate Parkway in Lone Tree, Colorado. Greshman Smith & Partners served as architect on the project.
A ribbon cutting ceremony for the newly completed expansion was officiated by HealthONE Sky Ridge Medical Center and elected officials, including Susan Hicks, Sky Ridge CEO; Sylvia Young, HealthONE president; Jim Gunning, Lone Tree Major, as well as Douglas county commissioners.
The work on Sky Ridge Medical Center included 138,000 total square feet of new construction and 58,000 square feet of renovations that were completed in 21 months. The expansion added 90 additional medical/surgical beds, four additional Spine & Total Joint Center operation rooms, expanded two-floor Birth Place with its own entrance, new NICU with 24 private rooms and a parking garage.
The most distinctive element of this project is that all construction was completed around the hospital, which maintained normal operations.
