Installation Begins of 200+ Offsite Modular Components for Healthcare Facility Project in Ohio
Less than 12 months after fabrication began, MODLOGIQ has begun transport and installation of the more than 200 modules that comprise the Athens Medical Campus, one of the largest permanent healthcare facilities in North America built using offsite modular construction.
Designed by Trinity:NAC and Mark Molen Design and developed by Medical Innovations Development for Memorial Health System, the four-story, roughly 100,000-square-foot medical center will open its doors approximately 18 months earlier than would have been possible with conventional construction, bringing critical healthcare services to the Athens, Ohio community quickly and efficiently.
The modules, weighing an average of 51,000 pounds each, are being transported 475 miles using a fleet of 32 semi-tractors equipped with special low-boy trailers. Transport began the week of Oct. 2, with installation at the site beginning Oct. 16. Installation of the modules is scheduled to be completed in 30 business days. The Athens Medical Campus is projected to start welcoming patients in spring 2024.
