E4H Celebrates Grand Opening of Lynn Community Health Center
A new pharmacy is now open at Lynn Community Health Center in Lynn, Massachusetts. The 4,500-square-foot project provides affordable retail pharmacy services to a diverse, multilingual patient population.
E4H Environments for Health Architecture led the design of the project, working closely with community stakeholders to prioritize needs and improve patient access throughout the entire process. The new pharmacy is federally funded and provides specialized packaging that sorts medications for daily use, as well as delivery to housebound patients. Located just off the main lobby on the first floor of the existing health center, this project includes a new retail pharmacy, consultation and immunization clinic space, and multipurpose community rooms.
The nonprofit multicultural health center serves over 40,000 patients throughout the region. LCHC uses an innovative, integrated patient-centered medical home model of care, which is designed to respect each patient’s unique needs. E4H led a multi-day Lean 3P process to ensure the new pharmacy meets community needs, prioritizes staff safety and optimizes workflows.
The project team includes Lee Kennedy Co, Stantec and AKF Group.
