University Hospitals Health Campus Takes Shape in Ohio
Monument Healthcare Development (formerly Astoria Healthcare Properties), in partnership with University Hospitals, is developing a health campus in Amherst, Ohio.
An ambulatory surgery center will anchor the new campus and will house five operating rooms and one procedure room. In addition, six recovery-focused stay suites will be in the same building as the ASC as part of the Muve program, a surgical care program offered by ValueHealth. The ASC will focus on orthopedic surgical procedures, with the capacity for 800 total joint replacement cases per year. The facility will also provide general orthopedic, spine, ear, nose and throat and pain management services onsite.
The new campus will also feature a medical office building to house physicians and other providers across a variety of medical and surgical specialties and other ancillary services. UH Amherst will welcome patients in the fourth quarter of 2023.
Additional project team members include CTL Engineering, ESa and J.E. Dunn Construction Company.
