University of Louisville Rehabilitation Frazier Facility Under Construction
Construction firm Robins & Morton recently broke ground on a new rehabilitation facility for the University of Louisville Health in Louisville, Kentucky.
The ceremony was live-streamed to the community in light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
The future 40-bed, 55,000-square-foot freestanding rehabilitation hospital in northeastern Jefferson County will be a partnership between the University of Louisville Health and Kindred Healthcare. Capital Growth Medvest is the owner/developer and ESa is serving as architect. It will stand two stories and feature all private rooms.
Once complete in early 2023, the hospital will offer specialty programs for neurological, stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury and amputation patients. There will be large interdisciplinary gyms, transitional living apartments and exterior courtyard. This hospital will also have a secured acquired brain injury unit with private dining and therapy gym.
