University of Missouri Health Care has selected Burns & McDonnell to plan and design the new, consolidated women’s and children’s hospital on its main hospital campus. The general contractor is Paric-Barton Malow joint venture.

The addition will make the campus a centralized hub, improving operational efficiencies, bringing together critical services for women and children, and featuring advanced amenities and technology.

Burns & McDonnell, in partnership with HKS, will deliver the design of the new 323,400-square-foot facility. The integration plans include a new hospital pavilion on the central campus to increase MU Health Care’s clinical footprint and create the additional bed capacity the women’s and children’s hospital will require. The entire project is expected to be complete in 2024.
