Mississippi Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center Complete
The Mississippi Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center has recently been completed in Flowood, Mississippi.
The new facility allows the medical group to expand its services and offer robotics and computer-assisted surgery in a comfortable and convenient setting. The 48,000-square-foot building includes eight advanced operating rooms, three additional procedure rooms, four extended-stay 23-hour recovery rooms, full-service clinic, urgent care, physical therapy center, sports performance center and a pharmacy.
The project was divided into two phases which focused first on the surgery center and then on the clinic. The Hoar Construction team spent nearly a year working with the owner and architect – Canizaro, Cawthon and Davis – planning and budgeting the project.
The new center offers an all-in-one approach including a clinic, imaging, surgery center, pharmacy, and therapy all located in one building. The new medical space will help the doctors and staff prepare for the 35% growth that outpatient orthopedics and spine are expected to experience over the next 10 years.
