New Straub Medical Center Clinic, Urgent Care in Hawaii to Provide Outpatient, Family + Pediatric Care
The new Straub Medical Center health clinic and urgent care at Kūʻono Marketplace will soon bring new healthcare options to the Kahala, Hawaii community. Stantec will lead the architectural design and medical planning of the 8,000-square-foot clinic for Straub Medical Center, which is an affiliate of Hawaii Pacific Health. Kamehameha Schools is leading the development and Allied Builders will serve as general contractor.
The new facility will focus on primary care outpatient services, with urgent care available during extended hours. The clinic will feature 20 exam rooms, a large procedure room, digital X-ray facilities and clinical lab services. Clinical Laboratories of Hawaii will offer onsite, walk-in advanced laboratory testing services to the health clinic and urgent care.
With a focus on patient experience, the new clinic will feature an open and inviting lobby, with high ceilings and natural lighting in the waiting areas. Appropriate wayfinding will make navigating the clinic easy for guests, while centralized staff workstations and medical clusters will support a collaborative working environment.
The new Kahala clinic and urgent care at Kūʻono Marketplace is expected to be complete in 2020.
