Reno Orthopedic Clinic Expansion Serves as Flagship Location

Ground has been broken on a 76,000-square-foot addition to Reno Orthopedic Clinic in downtown Reno, Nevada. The four-story addition will connect to the existing 57,000-square-foot clinic.

Upon its completion in fall 2020, the new facility will enhance the clinic’s services including physical therapy, with the addition of an advanced imaging center and the expansion of ROC Express Urgent Care, where patients can receive fast treatment with no appointment required.

The facility serves as the only urgent care and orthopedic care site in Reno’s emerging downtown corridor. Increasing the amount of exam rooms by more than double, the new facility will allow providers to serve more patients with new service offerings.

The Neenan Company is the Design-Builder for the expansion, which will serve as Reno Orthopedic Clinic’s flagship location. The clinic has a masonry exterior to complement the buildings in the surrounding area while featuring a distinct 3-story entryway with detailed glass and architectural elements including curved canopies, vast windows and large columns. The exposed structure of the building’s exterior is symbolic of the bones in the human body, with the expansive curtainwall glazing system allowing natural light to extend deep into the clinic to help create an inviting and healing environment.

Patients will immediately be welcomed at the centralized registration area, which will coordinate any administrative needs to save time and effort for patients while efficiently streamlining work for staff. As one of the most utilized services at the clinic, central imaging will be strategically placed on the first floor for faster customer service.
