Construction Begins for 2-Phase Redevelopment of Jefferson Washington Township Hospital
TURNERSVILLE, N.J. — Ground was recently broken for Jefferson Washington Township Hospital’s $220-million expansion at the campus medical facility, located in Turnersville, New Jersey.
Jefferson Health commissioned CallisonRTKL to provide design services for an overall campus redevelopment as part of a broader effort to redefine the medical facility and image. Construction for this two-phase redevelopment will commence in June, beginning with an eight-story parking garage. The phase one parking garage will have 820 spaces, consolidating campus parking into one convenient location.
The buildout of the parking garage will begin by constructing a temporary lot while the underground basin is in development. Following completion, phase two will begin—a new bed tower yielding 60 critical care and acute care patient rooms.
Construction for the bed tower will begin in 2019 and is expected to be completed by 2021. The general contractor for Jefferson Washington Township is P Agnes.
