Construction Begins on Exterior Renovations to WellStar Cobb Hospital
ATLANTA, Ga. – JE Dunn Construction has begun a 15-month exterior renovation to this “Top 100” rated, 382-bed WellStar Cobb Hospital in Austell, Georgia, which serves South Cobb County’s health needs.
The $13-million remediation project will involve replacing 65,000 square feet of curtainwall and brick façade as well as roof replacement for the hospital’s two-six story bed towers.
The facelift, including a new brick façade and energy-efficient curtainwall systems, will enhance overall aesthetics, as well as improve building performance. The new brick will feature a two-color scheme to match WellStar Vinings Health Park, and the upgrades will ensure the building meets current energy codes.
Patient rooms and treatment areas will remain in use throughout the project, which is scheduled for completion in fall of 2018.
The architect of record is CDH Partners, Inc.
