CHESAPEAKE, Va. – Sentara Healthcare has cut the ribbon on its Sentara Edinburgh outpatient campus located in Chesapeake, Virginia. Edinburgh is a fast-growing planned development in the southern portion of the city. The 60,000-square-foot, two-story office building features Sentara Medical Group’s first practice combining family medicine and pediatrics served by a blended care team. Sentara Cardiology Specialists will open their office this summer.
The combined practice will include innovative technology allowing self-check-in and self-rooming for patients, a system to assure timely care by providers and a design in which providers come to the patient for vitals, labs and all other services. The practice design allows adults and children to be seen during the same visit.
Sentara Edinburgh was designed by Innovate Architecture and built by Vannoy Construction (structure) and Compo Construction (interior). Cost was approximately $19 million.
