BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Construction is wrapping up on a $10-million project with the University of Alabama at Birmingham Health System to renovate the third and fourth floors of the John N. Whitaker Building in Birmingham.
The 64,000-square-foot renovation will convert the existing space into high-end medical clinics and physician offices as part of an expansion of The Kirklin Clinic
“The renovation of the Whitaker Building and the creation of more clinical care space will improve access to UAB Medicine services for patients across Alabama and the region,” said Reid Jones, COO of the UAB Health System.
Doster Construction Company is the general contractor and Gresham, Smith and Partners is the architect of record.
