McCownGordon Selected for Clay County Medical Center Expansion
McCownGordon Construction has been selected as the construction manager for the Clay County Medical Center hospital addition and renovation project. The project, located in Clay Center, Kansas, will begin construction in early 2017.
The addition and renovation will include a new surgery department, new acute care patient rooms, imaging department renovations and new mechanical and electrical systems, as well as labor and delivery rooms and a new main entrance and lobby.
The McCownGordon healthcare team is continuing to grow and has a focus on working in rural communities. This project is one of a handful of recent wins for McCownGordon’s healthcare team. The firm is slated to be the construction manager for the proposed replacement hospital in Harper County, Kansas. The firm also is working on a variety of healthcare projects including work for Saint Luke’s Health System, Olathe Medical Center, the University of Kansas Hospital and Children’s Mercy Hospital.
Healthcare Facilities Group architects is leading the design.
