NEW YORK, N.Y. – Tobin Parnes Design recently received new business projects in the healthcare sector. With a long-standing relationship and partnership with Parker Jewish Institute, a nonprofit center for healthcare and rehabilitation, the firm was selected to lead the newest design project at the facility and are at work creating a modern, sculptural entry that is aligned with the superior healthcare experience inside, as well as complements the facility’s newly renovated façade, also designed by the firm. An extended and enclosed canopy will provide weather protection for arriving and departing guests, as well as provide heating and air conditioning, and new lighting.

Another win for the firm in the healthcare sector is with Dwell Family Doctors, which is in the process of transforming 13 existing urgent care clinics into primary care doctor’s offices located within the NYC metropolitan area. The goal of Dwell Family Doctors is to shift the facilities’ business model from a transactional business to one that is more personal and relationship-based. With this, the firm’s scope of work will include creating a more welcoming atmosphere for patients – one that fosters trust and familiarity between the doctors and the communities they serve. The newly created prototype design reinforces Dwell’s corporate brand identity with unifying design elements implemented at all locations. These facilities will share a certain aesthetic with similar furnishings, interior finishes and millwork feature walls – yet each individual space will incorporate unique elements that are inspired by the local community.
