Saint Francis Memorial Hospital Celebrates New Bothin Burn Center
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Dignity Health Saint Francis Memorial Hospital recently opened its newly expanded Bothin Burn Center. Now the largest in Northern California, the burn center offers 16 beds and state-of-the art technology throughout.
The Burn Center, which treats more than 500 patients – including 70 children – each year, occupies the entire fifth floor of the main hospital. The center features the most advanced medical technology and equipment, including:
- Dedicated surgical suite with telemedicine capabilities
- State-of-the-art life support and monitoring equipment
- Ultrasonic hydrotherapy for bathing wounds
- Dedicated pediatric treatment rooms and play area, complete with gaming consoles and iPads
Through the expansion, the bed count increased from 10 to 16, and patient rooms were significantly enlarged for comfort and care. The Burn Center also has a dedicated gym, therapy treatment room and conference room.
