Martin Health Celebrates Topping Out at Tradition Medical Center
PORT LUCIE, Fla. – Martin Health recently celebrated the topping out of the Tradition Medical Center addition project as the final beam was raised in Port Lucie, Florida.
Begun in October 2015 to address the expanding healthcare needs of one of Florida’s fastest growing communities, the project includes a 100,000-square-foot, three-story vertical addition to the top of the existing six-story hospital, as well as interior renovations. Ninety new patient beds will be added along with a catheterization lab for cardiac care, interventional radiology and vascular procedures; expanded maternity and neonatal intensive care and an 18-bed observation unit designed to improve the flow of emergency patients who require hospitalization. The new facility designed by HKS Architects, is being constructed by Robins & Morton and managed by CBRE Healthcare.
Construction is targeted for completion in the spring of 2018.
