JACKSBORO, Texas — Hoar Construction recently completed construction of the highly anticipated replacement hospital that sets the standard for rural healthcare facilities.
The expanded program within the new Faith Community Hospital includes a walk-in community clinic, free-standing emergency facility and larger physical and cardiovascular therapy departments. New services include obstetrics and onsite mammograms. Faith Community Hospital will also be the first hospital in Texas to use geothermal heating and cooling systems. O’Connell Robertson served as the project architect.
Community engagement was critical in the success of the new Faith Community Hospital. As construction manager, Hoar partnered with the design team and hospital administrators to hold community meetings, focus groups and participate in local charity efforts as often as possible. The construction team hosted school supply drives, fire fighters BBQ, volunteered with Big Brothers, Big Sisters and, last October, invited the community of Jacksboro to the topping out of the hospital.
