GROVE HILL, Ala. — Grove Hill Memorial Hospital celebrated the groundbreaking of a new, 5,522-square-foot emergency department addition at 2 p.m. Oct. 25 on the hospital’s campus in Grove Hill, Alabama.
The addition will house an expanded emergency department, intensive care unit, nursing unit, obstetrics department and surgery space. As the construction progresses, patients and guests will also notice the hospital’s main entrance will be getting a face-lift, including a new drop off canopy. Upon completion, the expansion will allow the hospital to improve its imaging department, pharmacy and waiting areas in the future.
Design services for the hospital will be provided by architect Goodwyn, Mills and Cawood, and construction services will be provided by contractor Robins & Morton.
