KENEDY, Texas — Robins & Morton celebrated the topping out of the new Otto Kaiser Memorial Hospital and Wellness Center in Kenedy, Texas, on Aug.14.
The celebration included a tour of the new facilities, allowing guests to walk onto the construction site for the first time since the construction began in December, 2014. Otto Kaiser board members Margie Tamez, Richard Robinson, Rita Jordan and Board President David Purser welcomed the public to sign the beam that was lifted onto the building, as well as pillars inside the future hospital lobby. The final beam was adorned with a traditional American flag and an evergreen tree. More than 100 guests attended the event, including hospital staff, local chambers of commerce representatives and city and county officials.
The facility is slated to open spring 2016 and will feature inpatient and outpatient surgery clinical departments, a level four trauma center, physical therapy services, an imaging department, recovery rooms, an endoscopy suite and central sterile supply.
