ATLANTA, Ga. — JE Dunn Construction Company has been selected as the general contractor for a new five-story patient and surgical tower project at Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, Florida.
The project is part of a four-year, $200-million campus transformation program for Morton Plant, which is part of BayCare Health System.
The new patient tower will be integrated with the existing hospital structure while featuring an additional main entrance to the facility. The project will comprise approximately 230,000 square feet of new construction and 154,400 square feet of renovation. Construction will begin spring 2015 with substantial completion scheduled December 2016.
Features and services of the tower will include a new surgical center, orthopedics units and women’s center. A gift shop, coffee/café bar, guest service, and conference rooms will be among the facility’s visitor amenities.
