BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Brasfield & Gorrie recently marked a construction milestone at Baptist Memorial Rehabilitation Hospital in Germantown, Tenn. The general contractor celebrated the hospital’s topping out, which marks the end of the structural construction phase, during a ceremony on Feb. 19.
The new 54,800-square-foot facility will feature 49 rehabilitation beds along with a full-service kitchen, dining room, dedicated stroke unit and physical therapy gym, among other specialized features. The facility will also include office and administrative areas.
Brasfield & Gorrie is teaming with architect Earl Swensson Associates on this project for Duke Realty Corporation. The project began in October 2013 and will be completed in the fall of 2014.
