RALEIGH, N.C. — Brasfield & Gorrie announced the ahead-of-schedule completion of construction for the new Novant Health Haymarket Medical Center in Haymarket, Va.
“This facility was completed ahead of schedule with no change orders or injuries thanks to the use of leading-edge technology and the hard work and dedication of the project team,” said Brasfield & Gorrie Regional Vice President Trey Sanders.
The $65.6-million design-assist project includes a 221,000-square-foot, four-story, 60-bed hospital, as well as construction of a new loop road. The hospital facility’s fourth floor is shelled to allow for future expansion.
Serving as general contractor, Brasfield & Gorrie’s Raleigh office teamed with design partner Gresham Smith & Partners, as well as CCRD Partners and Dewberry, on this project. The team broke ground in April 2012 and completed the project one month ahead of schedule, with no change orders.
The hospital is scheduled to open to the public in the spring of 2014.
