Lend Lease Achieves Project Milestone on State-of-the-Art Healthcare Center
New York, N.Y — Lend Lease has finalized debt and equity investment arrangements with CTL Capital, LLC and Net Lease Capital Advisors on the Department of Veterans Affairs Healthcare Center in Kernersville, N.C. Lend Lease continues as project developer, design-builder and long-term property manager.
Lend Lease was chosen by the VA this past spring to design, build and manage the 375,000-gross-square-foot, four-story healthcare center. The facility will provide primary and mental healthcare to Veterans; clinics will include dental, diagnostic, laboratory, cardiology, pulmonary, audiology, ophthalmology, pathology, radiology and pharmacy.
The healthcare center is designed to obtain LEED Gold upon project completion and incorporates a holistic approach to sustainability into the design, such as the use of natural light throughout the center to promote healing and a connection to the outdoors. A key sustainable feature of the center will be a green roof allowing veterans to utilize the outdoor space and to socialize between appointments.
Lend Lease has commenced site work with vertical construction for the center is scheduled to begin in early 2014. Completion of the center is targeted for fall of 2015.
