COLUMBUS, Ohio — Mount Carmel Health System announced the completion of the expansion project at Mount Carmel St. Ann’s. Mount Carmel celebrated the event with an opening ceremony and blessing on Wednesday, Dec. 4.
“St. Ann’s is an integral part of the Westerville community,” Claus von Zychlin, president and CEO of Mount Carmel Health System, said at the ceremony. “We are proud to say that providing high-quality, patient-centered care while serving our community is at the heart of our mission.”
The St. Ann’s expansion project is a $110-million investment in new facilities and equipment to make sure the hospital can continue to meet the growing needs of the community.
The project includes a new patient tower with 60 beds, an integrated cardiovascular center of excellence, an orthopedic, neurosurgery and spine inpatient care unit, a new main entrance and a new three-level parking garage and road enhancements.
“The expansion and enhancements support our promise at St. Ann’s to provide remarkable care in truly remarkable ways,” said Janet Meeks, president and chief operating officer of Mount Carmel St. Ann’s, during the opening ceremony. “This expansion allows us to enhance our nationally recognized capabilities and enables us to deliver the most integrated, patient-centered care possible.”
